About Us:
The Dream Opportunity is a global nonprofit connecting under-resourced students with Fortune 500 and multi-billion dollar companies for career exploration, mentorship, and placement. With operations in the US, UK, Canada, India, Philippines, Singapore, and Mexico, we are rapidly expanding and looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to help evolve and refine our HR practices for greater global impact. We currently have around 50 employees and contractors, with 8 employees and the rest being contractors. We hire approximately 5 contractors per quarter and 1 employee per quarter. (When needed)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an HR professional with 10+ years of experience to drive recruitment, performance management, and compliance in our growing global organization. The HR Manager will oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance tracking, while collaborating closely with senior management to ensure accurate role architecture and hiring decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment, Hiring, & Onboarding: Lead recruitment and hiring efforts across global regions, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. Facilitate interviews and collaborate with senior management to ensure roles are accurately defined and aligned with the organizational structure. Streamline the onboarding process to reduce ramp-up time and enhance productivity for new hires. Ensure seamless integration of new hires by maintaining an efficient and effective onboarding system.
Compliance & Legal Coordination: Ensure global compliance with labor laws in partnership with McDermott, Will & Emery, our legal firm. Consult with our legal team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations for contractors and employees. Keep up to date with global compliance requirements, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate.
Performance Management & Role Clarity: Track and review quarterly and annual performance reports (handled by senior management). Collaborate with senior management to ensure the role architecture is designed and implemented accurately, aligning with the department's goals and growth strategy.
HR Knowledge Hub & Offboarding: Build and maintain a centralized platform for HR resources, tracking PTO, policies, and relevant documentation. Develop and manage an offboarding process, including exit interviews, knowledge transfer, and ensuring smooth transitions for staff.
Qualifications:
10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years working with U.S.-based organizations.
Proven expertise in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, compliance, and performance management.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
Experience in global recruitment and managing compliance across multiple regions is a plus.
Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management to ensure accurate role architecture and department alignment.
Must be able to work 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST and collaborate with a global team.
